When this company’s new office moved into London’s Walkie-Talkie building, it wanted all client-facing areas to reflect its colourful brand identity.
The lift lobby and entrance contain no windows for sunlight, so we opted to “make lemonade” with the space: as soon as visitors exit the lifts and walk through the entrance area towards reception, they find themselves in a motion-sensitive tunnel which alters from black to the bold colour blocks of the company’s logo.
The naturally sunlit reception and breakout areas provide a complete contrast – one that’s emphasised with bright, white interior design. Here we used warm lighting to create a soft and relaxing mood.
Our architectural lighting design scheme creates a bold, unique and memorable environment, but we didn’t take our eye off the ball when it came to manageability: all the lighting has been created with longevity, low energy and easy maintenance in mind.
