Retaining period features, tying in the new extension and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere were top priorities for the owners of this beautiful home in South-West London. So we got to work on implementing a lighting design scheme that ticked all the boxes.
To easily create different moods in the house we used layers of light throughout the living space. Spotlights were kept to a minimum and a combination of pendants, table and wall lights were used to create feature and ambience.
Lighting was carefully incorporated into the joinery of the newly spacious kitchen and the impressive skylight was uplit from a cove integrated into the architecture. The result is a contemporary, relaxing entertaining space that opens onto the garden where planting was washed with light, adding a sense of space in the evenings.
