The Nike design team have clearly been taking lessons from their athletes: a mere four weeks after commissioning us to work on this touring pavilion with them, it was ready!
Created to promote the launch of the Nike Flyknit Collection, the pavilion was transported across major European cities – where it gave runners the opportunity to test Nike’s latest range of shoes. The lighting needed to embody the sense of excitement around the launch, but also be energy efficient and easy to demount, transport and reinstall.
We worked closely with Nike European Brand Design and Green Room Retail to create this eye-catching architectural lighting design solution. Perimeter floor-mounted floodlights provided ambient illumination, while pink-coloured filters accentuated the bright cladding of the pavilion. The large video wall on the interior was given pride of place, and narrowbeam spotlights and integrated LED lighting highlighted the merchandise and provided an attractive visual contrast.
