A Virtual Round Table from Nulty and FX Magazine

In partnership with FX magazine, we’ve brought together a panel of experts to debate the impact of Covid-19 on the workplace and reflect on whether radical changes will need to be made to the way we conceive and design office spaces.

Chaired by Editor of FX Magazine Theresa Dowling, the discussion offers a cross-section of views and insights from all areas of the industry, including designer, architect, developer, technology consultant and psychologist.

The round table begins by unpicking the impact of remote working and social distancing on the workplace and how the design world will respond, looking at how changes might emerge across large organisations, smaller creative practices and co-working spaces. The panel (named below) contemplate potential shifts, such as whether offices will need to be repurposed, how workspaces will rethink densities and volumes, and in what way flexible working practices will be implemented to foster community building and accommodate the varying needs of individual team members.
