Nulty walk away triumphant from Tough Mudder (well, apart from Dan Gray...)
Last Sunday a brave few of team Nulty’s lighting design squad threw on their outdoor gear and travelled to Hampshire for Tough Mudder London South. We’re big on teamwork here so the gruelling 12-mile obstacle course meant we had to put our money where our mouth is – team challenges don’t get any bigger. The five valiant contenders were Claire Hamill, Jessica Travers, Dan Gray, Rebecca Hodge and Paul Nulty.
The 12 miles of physically and mentally challenging obstacles including Everest 2.0, Greased Lightning, Hangin’ Tough and Island Hopping didn’t go without their fair share of blood, sweat and tears, oh, and fractures! There was a BIG “ouch” for Dan Gray who managed to break his leg in two places (one wasn’t enough – he’s greedy) at mile six. Following our philosophy of teamwork we did the dutiful thing and him left him behind to fend for himself.
We’re pleased to report that the other four team members managed to complete the course without any dramas and that Dan’s leg is plastered up and on the mend.
