Short on time, but not on creativity...

Here at Nulty we take every opportunity to test our creativity beyond just architectural lighting design. This time the team put their heads to the challenge of luminaire design as acdc and the IALD hosted Chase the Dark 2014 – a global event for lighting design enthusiasts. The concept of the night was, basically, to create a lampshade in an hour with just one A1 paper sheet, one battery powered LED and our imaginations.

It was a fun and creative night that had us cutting graceful details, constructing intricate support systems and bringing back childhood memories with paper mache.

Without further ado, here are the luminaries that team Nulty came up with, illuminating St. John’s Church in Hoxton – not too bad for an hour’s work, if we do say so ourselves!
