A Manifesto for a Good Night’s Sleep

We all crave a good night’s sleep. And, when it comes to hotels, savvy operators want to give their guests exactly that. With lighting design playing an important role in achieving this, we’ve decided to make it the focus of our CPD at this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week.

We’re inviting designers and operators of hotels to gain a better understanding of how lighting can help people get a good night’s sleep. Based on practical application and current research, this session will explore how the body’s natural rhythms are affected by light, the influence of environmental and physiological factors on sleep, and the lighting tools we can utilise to enhance guest room design, regardless of budget.

“A Manifesto for a Good Night’s Sleep” will take place on Tuesday 21 May, 1-1.30pm, at the Knauf Showroom: 20 Baltic Street, London EC1Y 0UL.

If you’d like to attend this CPD, please contact our PR Manager, Sarah Fox.

The hospitality theme will continue the next day with Paul Nulty moderating a discussion about how lighting design is crucial in creating inviting environments within the hotel sector.

“The Defining Light of Hospitality” talk will be at Fabric nightclub, on Wednesday 22 May, 1pm, for around 30 minutes: 77a Charterhouse Street, London EC1M 6HJ.

We hope to see you there!
