After earning her bachelor’s in architecture at the Lebanese American University, Cynthia ventured into the world of lighting design whilst working for Debbas and Lumen in Beirut in her native Lebanon.
Encouraged to explore the way that both daylight and artificial light naturally enrich interior spaces during her architectural training, Cynthia is sensitive to the relationship between light and architecture, which enhances her design work and inspires her to create schemes that are ahead of the curve.
If Cynthia could have worked on any project, it would be the Portuguese National Pavilion designed by Alvaro Siza. Infatuated by the interplay of light and shadows across this incredible building, she would have loved to have been there for the design process – and to have gained an insight into how the concept came together.
A self-proclaimed ‘hopeless romantic’, outside of her daily Pilates and barre class routine, you’ll most likely find Cynthia curled up with a good old cheesy romance novel.
