Making a Manifesto

In a recent chat with CLAD news, Emilio Hernandez discussed why Nulty is developing a manifesto for sleep, and how helping people get a restful night could well be up there on our list of accomplishments.

Good lighting design is as much about what’s good for people as it is about aesthetic. Yet there’s not much guidance out there about how lighting can be used in space design to create environments that are better for the health and wellbeing of the people that use them. So, we thought we’d do something about it.

From researching how people consume light throughout the day by looking at their “light diet” to considering different levels of sensitivity and surrounding environments, the manifesto aims to steer interior designers, developers and architects in the direction of a good night’s sleep.
