Wimonwan (Wim) is an architect-turned-lighting designer with a strong foundation in spatial and experiential design. Originally from Maha Sarakham, Thailand, she earned a Bachelor of Architecture with honours from MSU before completing a Master’s in Design for Performance and Interaction at The Bartlett, UCL.
She began her career practicing architecture in Thailand, later freelancing in architectural and experiential design after moving to London. Her interest in lighting emerged during her master’s studies, where light became a key tool in her research. This fascination led her to fully transition into lighting design in 2021.
Wim is known for her strength in experiential design, particularly projects shaped by narrative and human interaction. Colleagues often seek her advice on translating concepts or stories into intentional, expressive lighting. She thrives in early concept stages, especially collaborative workshops.
Outside work, she is an avid sourdough maker and a food-driven person who enjoys listening to people’s stories and observing how humans relate to their environments. Guided by a belief in lifelong learning, she continues to approach design with curiosity and openness.
