Karlson liked to think big as a kid. He had dreams of designing his own structures, but little did he know that designing and constructing buildings involves a lot of math and science – not exactly his favourite subjects. That didn’t stop him though, as he went on to complete a degree in architecture.
It was curiosity that led Karlson to lighting design – he was intrigued by what the art of lighting can do in architecture and life. He’s found a good home at Nulty: not only does he get to explore his intrigue, he also gets to work with like-minded people who have a passion for design.
Saying all this, we do worry he might be in the wrong business. Apparently Karlson can sing better than Mariah and dance better than Beyoncé. Perhaps he should be on the stage instead of lighting it.
