A lighting designer and an architect, Harshita is a creative force who has amassed over a decade of experience working across the globe.
Her impressive education began with a Bachelor of Architecture from the RV College of Engineering in Bengaluru, followed by a Master’s degree in Architectural Lighting & Design Management from the prestigious Hochschule Wismar University. She also received a Diploma in Interior Lighting Design from the European Institute of Design, Milan.
Harshita first joined Nulty in 2016, where she honed her creative and technical design expertise in both the Middle East and London. She returned to Bengaluru in 2018, and established a successful lighting design practice, Light Inspired Thinking. Here, she inspired her team to deliver a diverse range of lighting schemes in the workplace, hospitality, and F&B sectors, and gained a deep understanding of related disciplines and the importance of strong communication and coordination between design teams.
Harshita is a professional member of IALD and LiDAI, and regularly contributes to talks at industry conferences and events. She was also named as one of the 40 Under 40 Lighting Designers in 2021.
In her free time, she is passionate about creating dynamic light art installations. Through her expressions, she tries to capture the ephemeral quality of light and movement to produce urban installations. Her artworks ‘A Heart Beat’ and ‘A Flicker of Light’ have been displayed in public forums – ‘A Heart Beat’ was also shortlisted in the Light Art category in the Darc Awards.
